do we get by trains that we all watched pass but never took the chance to let them take us away / the horizon is wider over there you said and took my hand as if I had the choice not to stay
denying / we are painting portraits of our homes / while we claim to be risky / just at veneer
hypocrites our lies at stake / fading images of us turning our back on you running / heads up
crossing the streets trying to catch up / with the friends that leave you behind / when tales shine brighter than these streetlights / you take it as a way of life / but for them it is long gone / old pictures never get rusty / why are you going away when we just met / but always draw the same lines / you leave me saying / I feel lonely when no one is around

the sweaty years

it is common that they watch you / it is common that they lie / about which box to unwrap next / where to settle and where to hide
is this still what we stand for or are we straying from path / when does this circle end / when does this circle end / guess we are not able to live our words and prayers / still too weak to stand our ground / can we ever grow that strong / the goals are set but they keep fading killed by jasperous thoughts / writing endless lines / giving my heart away / when two steps back feel like progress / keeping up with our aspirations / can we ever grow that strong
this sweater will never get clean / like nothing ever knows its place / and there is all this doubt infiltrating my hope for a future / when everything fits quite in / so I am dedicating all of my time / till everyone knows how to get along / and I keep on building my shelter / and finally will call this place home
we will call this home

take off your mask and tell me what you are fighting for / without showing your face hands to the ground / eyes looking forward but fading / these streets have lost its clichés / the dirt and the stones / desperate eyes looking for help / disgrace / we are moving backwards
we have had enough we have had enough we have seen it / a thousand miles before these ships crash into shores / these pieces of wrecks put them all together now / since we are lost ashore
you have given up on me / while your heart keeps beating anywhere but here / we are fading away
we feel alone standing here and face to face / looking forward / but with broken backs we fall
